Koshi Pathibhara Indo-Nepal T20 Cricket Championship Scheduled in Jhapa Next Month
Jhapa, Jan 10: The much-awaited Koshi Pathibhara Indo-Nepal T20 Championship is all set to take place from February 4 to 11 at the newly developed Mechi Stadium in Bhadrapur.
Hosted by Bhadrapur Cricket Club, the tournament will see eight teams competing, with four teams each from Nepal and India. The championship offers a cash prize of Rs 500,000 for the winner and Rs 300,000 for the runner-up, according to organizing committee coordinator Manoj Subba.
The Indian contingent includes Rhinoland Cricket Academy (Guwahati), Global Star Cricket Club (Lucknow), Cricket Coaching Academy (New Delhi), and Snow Lion Team (Sikkim). Nepali teams participating are Bhadrapur Cricket Club, Biratnagar Kings Development Squad, Pokhara Avengers Gandaki Heroes Development Squad, and Kathmandu Gorkhas Development Squad.
Mr. Subba added that the Mechi Multipurpose Campus ground, leased by Bhadrapur Cricket Club, has been transformed into a professional-standard cricket venue over the past three years, providing players with top-notch facilities.
The championship is expected to strengthen Indo-Nepal cricket ties while offering a platform for emerging talents from both countries.
