Indian Ambassador calls on Communications Minister Kharel
Kathmandu, Oct 30: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Shrivastava called on Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Singhadurbar on Thursday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on bilateral relations, cooperation and other issues of common interests, the Ministry stated. On the occasion, Minister Kharel appreciated India’s support and goodwill extended to Nepal’s social and political developments. Minister Kharel stated that the key priorities of the government were to hold elections in a free and fair manner, control corruption and promote good governance.
Likewise, the Indian Ambassador expressed India’s commitment to support Nepal’s economic transformation and prosperity through fiscal and technical assistance. Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology were also present at the meeting.
