Japanese ambassador calls on Finance Minister Khanal
Kathmandu: Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Maeda Toru, paid a courtesy call on Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal today.
During the meeting held at the Ministry of Finance in Singha Durbar, they discussed the various issues including Nepal’s recent changed situation, Nepal-Japan historic relations and Japan’s support in Nepal’s socio-economic development.
On the occasion, Finance Minister Khanal underlined that the main task of the incumbent government, formed in a special situation, is to hold the election on the slated date, adding other activities including reconstruction of various structures damaged during Gen-Z protest as well as socio economic development would be continued till the election.
Various issues including under construction Nagdhunga Tunnel route project, Koteshwor Chowk Improvement Project, which agreement is going to be signed in near future, and Programme for Emergency Rehabilitation of Sindhuli Road Affected by Flood were also discussed.
Finance Secretary Ghan Shyam Upadhyay and Joint-Secretary at the Foreign Aid Coordination Division, Dhani Ram Sharma, were also present on the occasion.
