Jaleshwor Prison requests escaped inmates to return by Oct 6

Jaleshwor (Mahottari): The Jaleshwor Prison Administration has given a chance to the prisoners, who had escaped from Jaleshwor Prison in Mahotari during Gen-Z protest, to return to jail within October 6.

Issuing a notice, the Jaleshwor Prison requested the escaped prisoners to return to jail, said Jailer Ashok Chhetri.

Action would be taken against those inmates, who do not return till the deadline, as per the Prison Act, 2079, and other existing laws of Nepal, reads the notice.

Jailer Chhetri mentioned anyone who hides and shelters the escaped prisoners would be considered a criminal and action would also be taken against them as per the existing laws.

Total 576 prisoners including 40 Indians had escaped from the prison on September 9, 262 have returned to jail till this morning.
