Heavy rainfall likely in few places in four provinces

Kathmandu, Sept 17: A few places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Karnali, and the southern plains of Lumbini provinces are predicted to have heavy rainfall today.

The weather service said the low-pressure belt of the monsoon is currently at its average range. The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted generally cloudy weather across the country today. The weather change is impacted by the wind filled with water vapour, which emanates from both the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal.

Similarly, some places in the Bagmati and Lumbini provinces are forecast to have moderate rainfall. With this in the weather update, the Division has requested all concerned to remain aware of landslides and debris flows in the streams and rivers, which may impact road transportation.
