Fair price shops in Humla

Simkot (Humla), Sept 17: The district branch of the Food Management and Trade Company has begun fair price shops in view of the upcoming Dashain festival at the district Headquarters, Simkot.

The sale of food grains and other essential items began officially here on Monday. Rice, sugar and cooking oil are also available at a discount rate in the outlet. Rice and sugar are sold with a discount of Rs 5 per kg, while Rs 7 discounted in a litre of oil, according to branch chief Krishna Bahadur Thapamagar.

Currently, there are two such outlets making available the fair-priced goods. The Company is planning to expand the sales from two other places- Yalbang and Shrinagar.
