Life returns to normalcy after lifting curfew and prohibitory order

Bhaktapur, Sept 13: Life in Bhaktapur district has gradually returned to normal as the District Administration Office lifted the curfew and prohibitory order from Saturday afternoon.

The administration had imposed curfew and prohibitory orders in the district in the wake of the situation created after the Gen-Z revolt on September 8 and 9. As the administration lifted curfew and prohibitory orders, life here is gradually coming to normalcy as markets have opened and agencies have resumed their service centres.

Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur Namaraj Ghimire said that a meeting of the District Security Committee held on Saturday decided to lift the curfew order following the robust law and order situation in the district. Ghimire added that the work on the detailed collection of the loss incurred in the government offices, debris removal from the offices, and regular service delivery is ongoing.

Likewise, the private vehicles were run on the streets, and a massive flow was witnessed in the markets in the district on Saturday. Similarly, the NA personnel returned to the barracks, and the police personnel too returned to their regular duty.
