President appoints Sabita Bhandari to post of Attorney General

Kathmandu: President Ram Chandra Poudel has appointed Sabita Bhandari to the post of the Attorney General.

According to the President’s Office, the head of the state appointed Bhandari the Attorney General at the recommendation of the Prime Minister Shushila Karki.

Bhandari is the fist female Attorney General in Nepal’s history.

Earlier today, President Paudel approved the resignation tendered by Attorney General Ramesh Badal.
