CIAA files corruption case against nine including govt employees
Kathmandu, April 29: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against nine persons, including the chief administrative officer, on charges of corruption in the construction of an agricultural road at Dhankaul rural municipality, Sarlahi.
CIAA registered the case at the Special Court, accusing chief administrative officer Krishnamohan Prasad Sah, engineer Upendra Prasad Sah, assistant Mohamad Rafiq, and sub-engineer Sashinjan Kumar Singh of claiming recovery of Rs 779 thousand from them.
Also accused of involvement in the corruption were an accountant at the local level, and the chairman, secretary and treasurer of a consumer committee, according to Rajendra Kumar Paudel, spokesperson at CIAA.
