Khaptad Baba’s thoughts inspiring: Minister Pande
Kathmandu: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pande, has said the ideals of the Khaptad Swami help guide society and humanity towards the right track.
During a programme organised by the Khaptad Baba Jyoti Award Committee in the federal capital on Thursday, Minister Pande observed that knowledge gained after devotion helps people follow the right path in life. He observed that the awards and honours distributed in the name of such spiritual icons are a matter of achievement.
On the occasion, Professor Dr Mukunda Lamichhane at Nepal Sanskrit University, said the books penned by Khaptad Swami, like Bichar Bigyan and Swasthya Bigyan, contribute tremendously to personality development.
Lecturer Govind Prasad Dahal, chairperson of the organising body, informed that the awards in Khaptad Baba’s name were conferred on the students of the Sanskrit language. The amount of the award was now increased from Rs 100 thousand to Rs half million.
Students excelling in Sanskrit schools and university were provided the awards on the occasion.
