Socialist Front to consult civil society and intellectuals tomorrow

Kathmandu, March 14: The Socialist Front will hold discussions with intellectuals and civil society representatives regarding the latest political scenario on Saturday.

The decision was made during the 12th central working committee meeting of the Front, held today at the central office of CPN (Unified Socialist) in Aloknagar.

The Socialist Front is also scheduled to hold an interaction with journalists on the same day. Additionally, the Front decided to initiate political dialogue with political parties and leaders, both inside and outside of parliament, said Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma, Spokesperson of the Nepal Communist Party.

He added, “The decision was made to undertake extensive political efforts to create an environment that protects national sovereignty and the republic, and to move forward the journey of socialism with determination.”

The meeting also resolved to ensure the success of the protest assembly and mass demonstration scheduled for March 28.

Regarding discussions on the country’s political situation, Bishwokarma noted that the meeting concluded that the situation is becoming more complex due to demonstrations by supporters of the monarchy.

Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’; General Secretary of the Communist Party of Nepal, Netra Bikram Chand; and Chairperson of the Nepal Socialist Party, Mahindra Raya Yadav, among others, were present at the meeting.
