Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series Cricket: Nepal beats Hong Kong by six wickets
Kathmandu, March 14: Nepal defeated Hong Kong by six wickets in the ongoing Women’s T20 International cricket tournament underway in Uganda.
Hong Kong, who won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 104 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs in the match held at Entebbe Cricket Oval in Uganda.
Nepal chased down the target of 105 runs in 19.3 overs at the loss of four wickets. Samjhana Khadka scored 47 runs for Nepal. She hit three fours off 43-ball innings. Pooja Mahato scored an unbeaten 20 and captain Indu Barma scored 18 runs.
Towards bowling, Mahekdeep Kaur and Lia Wang Ki took one wicket each for Hong Kong.
Earlier, Shanzeen Shahzad top scored for Hong Kong with 54 runs. She hit five fours and a six in 47 balls. Similarly, Kary Chan scored 16 runs and Yasmin Daswani scored 14 runs.
For Nepal, Rajmati Airee took three wickets, Captain Indu Barma took two wickets and Puja Mahato and Ishwori Bist took one wicket each.
