Maintenance of drinking water supply pipeline at Babarmahal completes

Kathmandu, Feb 13: Maintenance of a water supply pipeline that burst open on Wednesday at the local Babarmahal has been completed.

The incident occurred when the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) was conducting horizontal drilling to install underground power supply cables.

Chief Executive Officer of Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (KUKL), Ashok Kumar Poudel, told RSS that the pipeline maintenance was completed after approximately 20 hours, with work starting on Wednesday night.

He stated, “The maintenance of the pipeline has been completed. Water will be distributed soon after the completion of water supply testing.”

The Babarmahal area of Kathmandu was waterlogged after a major water supply pipe on the main road burst.
