Voting begins for councilors of the Nepal Bar Council

Kathmandu, Feb 8: Voting for the election to the post of councilor of the Nepal Bar Council is currently underway across all provinces including Bagmati Province.

Voting has started since 10 am today.

There are 11,000 eligible voters across the country with 8,200 voters in Bagmati Province alone.

The voting is being held as per the provision in the Council Act-2050 BS to elect one councilor from each of the seven provinces by an electoral of the senior lawyers and advocates practising in those provinces.

The voting will continue till 4 pm today.
