Nepse Index reaches 2,600 points with transaction amount of over Rs 6 billion

Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has crossed above 2,600 points today. The index increased by 0.48 per cent or 12.58 points to close at 2,601.21 points after the day’s trading.

Twelve million 982 thousand 619 units of shares of 325 companies were traded for Rs 6 billion 257 million 235 thousand today. The market capitalization has reached Rs 1 trillion 439 billion 989 million 647 thousand 932 after today’s transactions.

The share prices of 171 companies rose, while 68 saw declines. The prices of the four companies remained unchanged. The share price of Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) Limited saw the imposition of a green circuit today.

Similarly, the share price of Win Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has increased by 9.09 per cent, that of Samling Power Company by 7.46 per cent, and that of Nepal Republic Media Limited by 7.37 per cent.

The share price of Super Madi Hydropower Limited saw a red circuit today. The share price of NIC Asia Select Fund 30 decreased by 6.93 per cent, and that of River Falls Power Limited by 6.45 per cent.
