Diplomatic efforts on for repatriation of Nepali student Bipin Joshi: Minister Lekhak

January 19, Kathmandu: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has expressed confidence in the early and safe release of Nepali student Bipin Joshi who is currently being held hostage by the Hamas.

Addressing a press conference organized by the Nepal Press Union in Kanchanpur on Sunday, Minister Lekhak said that the government was actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to secure his safe repatriation following the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.

The Home Minister also announced that the government was preparing to convene a session of the Federal Parliament soon.

Minister Lekhak stated that the government plans to call the parliamentary session soon to address various criticisms surrounding the ordinances passed by the government.

Minister Lekhak further assured the public that the coalition government formed between the Nepali Congress and the CPN-UML  would remain unchanged till the next elections.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to development and prosperity. Likewise, Minister Lekhak announced that the necessary procedures for establishing a dry port in Dodhara Chandani have been completed. He expressed optimism that the Indian government will commence construction within the next three months.
