King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan visits Swoyambhunath and Boudhanath

Kathmandu, Dec 6: King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan visited Swoyambhunath today to pay his respects and offer prayers.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan was received by officials from the Swoyambhu Management and Preservation Committee at UNESCO World Heritage Site, Swoyambhunath.

The king spent about half an hour at the site, taking in views of the Kathmandu Valley from the temple premises.

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck of Bhutan also visited Boudhhanath and paid homage.

The Bhutanese king arrived in Kathmandu from India this morning in transit to Bhutan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
