CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Narpura Buda elected vice-chairperson of Putha Uttarganga
Rukum East, Dec 2: CPN (Maoist Centre)’s Narpura Buda has emerged victorious in by-election for the post of vice-chairperson of Putha Uttarganga rural municipality.
In the by-election held on Sunday, Buda defeated Kesh Kumari Tulachan, representing CPN (UML) and NC’s coalition, to become Vice-Chairperson. Buda secured 3,627 votes against his rival Tulachan who got 2,128 votes.
He won the by-election with the margin of 1,499 votes.
It may be noted that Jagat Gharti of CPN (Maoist Centre) was already unanimously elected ward chairperson of ward no 2 in the same rural municipality.
By-election was held on December 1 to fill 41 vacant posts in various local levels across the country.
