Only physical infrastructures are insufficient to serve public: Karnali CM Kandel

Karnali, Nov 19: Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Yam Lal Kandel, has said only physical infrastructure is insufficient to serve the public.

The mindset of public service is essential to make service seekers happy, he stressed. CM Kandel said it while inaugurating a hospital building at Kalikot’s headquarters, Manma, on Monday. “Every sector is expected to deliver service as per public need.

Only beautiful infrastructure does not help change people’s lifestyles,” he reminded, underlining the need for effective service delivery, which contributes to the national ambition of development and prosperity. The Chief Minister, however, said the province government could deliver based on its strength.

“Prosperity is possible only through responsible behavior of citizens and government,” he viewed. Kandel further urged the doctors and health workers to regard service as study and research.

On the occasion, the Minister for Social Development in the province, Ghanshyam Bhandari, reminded the medical and health workers to provide quality service.

The provincial government was according priority to hospitals near highways by equipping them with necessary workforce, finances, and infrastructures, according to him. —RSS
