Classical music event being held on the occasion of 75th anniversary of Radio Nepal

Kathmandu: A special classical music event is being held today on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of public service broadcasting, Radio Nepal.

The event, taking place at Radio Nepal’s central office in Singha Durbar, features 24 artists and creators from various musical disciplines.

In his inaugural speech, Dr. Mahendra Bista, Executive Chairman of Public Service Broadcasting Nepal, highlighted Radio Nepal’s rich legacy in music, emphasizing its significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of classical music.

He also noted that with Radio Nepal and Nepal Television now fully transformed into public service broadcasters, there will be greater focus on promoting music and songs in the future.
