Ganeshman Singh’s 110th birth anniversary marked
Bhaktapur, Nov 9: The 110th birth anniversary of the supreme leader and Iron Man, the late Ganeshman Singh was marked in Bhaktapur today.
The Ganeshman Singh Memorial Park and Statue Conservation Committee organized a program at Katunje-based Ganeshman Singh, Memorial Batika in Suryabinayak Municipality-5 today.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress central member and Bhaktapur central representative Bal Bahadur KC said that not only the party but the entire country should not forget the contributions of Ganeshman Singh. NC Bhaktapur district president and federal lawmaker Durlabh Thapa, Ganeshman Singh Memorial Park Chair Mathawar Singh Basnet, and NC Bhaktapur district joint secretary Yadav Adhikari highlighted various aspects of Singh’s struggling political career.
NC leader Singh, the supreme commander of the people’s movement for the restoration of democracy in 2046 BS, abandoned the then King Birendra Shah’s request to become the Prime Minister after the success of the people’s movement. —RSS
