UML central committee meeting: 50 members voice their opinion

Kathmandu: The inaugural day of the 10th Central Committee meeting of the CPN (UML) has concluded.

According to UML Publicity Department chief Rajendra Gautam, on the first day of the meeting, which commenced today at Rambagh Palace in Bhanimandal, Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, 50 central members voiced their opinions.

He noted that the central members offered suggestions regarding the political situation outlined in the meeting by party chair KP Sharma Oli.

Gautam shared that the central members provided significant recommendations concerning the interim government and the dissolution of the House of Representatives. Each central member was given three minutes to present their suggestions on the political report.

Gautam also mentioned that members were encouraged to submit any points they couldn’t cover within the three-minute timeframe in writing. He further stated that the meeting will reconvene tomorrow morning at 8 o’clock.

During the meeting, the political report presented by Chait KP Sharma Oli suggested that the party’s 11th National Congress be held in Pokhara from December 13 to 15. The meeting is set to continue until October 17.
