Two deaths in drowning

Two children have died after drowning in Tinau River in Rupandehi.

Butwal sub-metropolitan city (1), two children who came to relatives in Srijan Nagar were swept away while swimming in the river.

The body of 12-year-old Vivash Khatri was found near the river on Friday night, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijayraj Pandit of the Butwal area police office.

12-year-old Vivash Khatri and 8-year-old Vipran Pandey of Sainamaina Municipality, who came to Bareng Rural Municipality (4) of Baglung and lived in Srijan Nagar, were swept away while swimming in the Tinau River.

Pandey’s body was found on the banks of the Tinau River on Saturday. After seeing the river washed away, another child who went with them informed their relatives.
