Coordinator Dahal’s health condition stable: Hospital

Kathmandu: The health condition of Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is stable and is responding well to treatment, according to the hospital where he is receiving treatment.

The Nepal Mediciti Hospital stated this evening by issuing a health bulletin on Dahal’s health condition. The former Prime Minister was admitted to Lalitpur-based Mediciti Hospital on Saturday morning with symptoms of a respiratory illness.

“Upon evaluation by our team, he (Coordinator Dahal) was found to have a mild pneumonia infection for which necessary investigations have been conducted, and treatment has been initiated.” He is expected to remain hospitalised for the next 2-3 days for continued monitoring and medical care,” read the hospital’s bulletin.
