Dry landslide obstructs Prithvi highway

July 6, Kathmandu: Prithvi highway has been completely obstructed due to a landslide that occurred between Mauri bazaar and Turture bazaar in Tanahu district.

Vehicular movement along the highway has been obstructed due to a dry landslide that occurred 100 meters above the road on Wednesday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Tanahu, Mohan Bahadur Khand, said work is underway to remove the landslide debris in collaboration with the Chinese contractor Company, local levels and locals in order to resume traffic on the road.

Police said small and mid-size vehicles heading towards Pokhara via Tanahu have been diverted for Polyang from Damauli Bhirletarchowk via Kolesti. RSS
