Nagarik Unmukti Party patron Resham Chaudhary arrested

Kathmandu: Resham Chaudhary, the patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, has been arrested by the Nepal Police. Chaudhary was apprehended today from the premises of Pragya Bhavan in Kamaladi in Kathmandu.

According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, an officer was assigned to execute the Supreme Court’s ruling in connection with the Tikapur incident.

The district police range added that Chaudhary was arrested in compliance with the court order and has been taken to Dillibazaar Jail. His arrest comes amid a program aimed at uniting the Nagarik Unmukti Party and the Janamat Party was scheduled to take place at Pragya Bhavan today.
