Police make six fraudsters public

Kathmandu: Police have made six fraudsters public who swindled the families of those who die in course foreign employment. 

Amidst a press meeting today, the police unveiled Ram Bahadur Tamang of Gongabu in Kathmandu, Binod Kumar Lama of Lalbandi-8 in Sarlahi, Dik Bahadur Malla, Rabindra Moktan also known as Rabin, Prakash Bahadur Gaole, and Rundra Man Gole.

The police investigation has found that the swindlers have cheated up to 7 hundred thousand rupees from families of those who die in course of foreign employment.

As per the government provision, the families of the victims who die in course of foreign employment gets 1.4 million rupees if the person dies in the working country and if the person in on leave in the country, they get 1.3 million rupees as compensation.

Likewise, they get additional 7 hundred thousand rupees from the foreign employment board.

The fraudsters used to promise to provide the insurance amount to the family and cheat them.

Meanwhile, the police have also arrested Pashupati Adhikari, a non-gazette officer at Foreign Employment Board in connection to the same fraud case.

Police said Adhikari used to provide the data of the deceased to the fraudsters.
