Traffic had come to a halt since Saturday morning after rainfall on Friday and Saturday triggered landslides at several points between Chaukidanda and Nepalthok in Kavrepalanchok district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rabin Bista, the Information Officer at the District Police Office, the removal of landslide debris with the help of bulldozers began on Sunday morning.

Security personnel and technical teams were also deployed to clear the road.

Traffic has been restored following the removal of debris consisting of stones, soil, and mud washed down by a seasonal stream in Pinthali (Roshi Rural Municipality-9), as well as the clearance of a landslide in Gimdibesi in Ward No. 8 of the same Rural municipality.
