APF chief directs officials to curb cross-border crimes
Kathmandu: Inspector General of the Armed Police Force (APF), Narayan Datt Paudel, has directed the subordinate police officials to take adequate measures for curbing cross-border crimes.

He issued the direction to the armed police persons associated with the Chhinnamasta Battalion and border outpost commanders and security base personnel throughout Madhes Province.
Co-Spokesperson of APF, ShailendraThapa, Inspector General Paudel held consultations with relevant officials and the border communities to evaluate current status of border security and emerging challenges.
During the consultations, he instructed area commanders to carry out responsibilities with increased vigilance and improved inter-agency coordination.
Accountability must be shown while reinforcing comprehensive surveillance, regulatory oversight and suppression of unlawful activities on the border area. Development of strategic action plans is instrumental in reducing cross-border criminal activities and preventing revenue loss, he suggested.
