Chinese Foundation delivers 27 tonnes of aid, including 6,000 medical body bags

KATHMANDU, Sept 3: A 27-tonne consignment of humanitarian aid donated by Chinese enterprises and individuals arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport on Thursday aboard China Southern Airlines, organized by the China Foundation for Rural Development.
The shipment, valued at over RMB 1 million (~$140,000 USD / Rs 22.5 million NPR), includes 6,000 medical body bags, 1,000 emergency humanitarian relief boxes, 1,000 quilts, 1,000 cotton coats, and 175 disaster response tents.
In coordination with Nepal’s National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), the supplies will be dispatched to hard-hit communities in Rasuwa to provide emergency shelter and basic provisions, as well as support frontline rescue teams in conducting dignified recovery operations.
