All criminal cases are in institutional memory of Nepal Police: IGP Karki

Kathmandu: Inspector General (IG) of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki has said that anyone involved in criminal cases would be brought to justice anytime as all sorts of criminal activities happened in society are in institutional memory of the Nepal Police.

Talking to the RSS, the Nepal Police Chief said that the criminals have been booked even after decades of the crimes and the police organization would not forget such cases.

“People’s memories fade in a short time. But Nepal Police is an institution to relentlessly fight for the justice of individuals. This organization would not forget such cases,” Karki added. However, Karki admitted that the police organization has not achieved the expected successes.

The Nepal Police brings the perpetrators under the ambit of law through studies and frequent investigation processes, Karki added. He also stated that the Nepal Police was carrying out investigations in the notorious cases of the past by forming special teams and added that the police organization has achieved good success in some cases.

Likewise, Karki added that investigations on some notorious criminal cases of the past were on-going through the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB). “We have advanced investigations of the new and past cases simultaneously,” he added.
