Foreign Minister Khanal emphasizes on expanding Nepal-Korea connectivity

Kathmandu: Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal has emphasised the need for further expansion of air connectivity, trade, tourism, education, technology, and people-to-people relations between Nepal and South Korea.

During the farewell call paid on Minister Khanal by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Park Taeyoung, at the Foreign Ministry today, Minister Khanal stressed the need to forward Nepal-South Korea trade, education and health as priority areas of cooperation, according to Foreign Minister Khanal’s Private Secretariat.

Ambassador Park is returning home after completing his three-year term in Nepal. Stating that it was necessary to find out new areas for investment, he expressed the view that partnership should be expanded in other areas of cooperation along with energy and production sectors.

The Foreign Minister underlined that Korea’s Employment Permit System has become the model of Nepal-Korea relations, stressing the need to increase collaboration between research organisations between the two countries in the education sector.

Similarly, Ambassador Park expressed pleasure at getting the opportunity to serve in Nepal and lauded the cultural diversity of Nepal.
