Party unity heading towards a consensus: NC President Thapa
Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that party unity is heading towards a consensus.

In a meeting with local-level people’s representatives led by Municipalities Association of Nepal President Bhim Dhungana here today, he made it clear that party unity was gradually gaining ground.
Saying that party unity is indispensable to face the current challenges, President Thapa also urged the party unity pressure campaign to postpone the national gathering scheduled for August 1.
A task force has been formed with the disgruntled leaders to form a consensus framework, shared Mayor of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality Upendra Karki.
During the meeting, local-level people’s representatives said that without party unity, the people in the villages cannot be made optimistic and the party’s reputation cannot be restored.
They emphasised the need to create an environment of trust among the general public by unifying the party immediately. President Thapa assured that the party unification will be agreed upon and the Congress will be united.
