Finance Minister Wagle directs accountability at SEBON oath ceremony

June 29, Kathmandu: Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has promised zero ministry interference to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) in exchange for strict regulatory results.
Administering the oath of office to newly appointed SEBON Chairman Gopal Prasad Bhatta in Kathmandu this morning, Finance Minister Wagle issued an aggressive mandate to immediately stabilise the volatile capital market and protect small investors from speculative rumours.
Wagle warned the new regulatory leadership to remain entirely detached from external influence, demanding that SEBON immediately submit a structured, multi-phase reform breakdown detailing explicit daily, weekly, and monthly targets to revitalize national capital mobilization.
