US Charge d’ Affaires calls on Vice President Yadav
Kathmandu: Charge d’ Affaires of the United States to Nepal, Scott Urbom, has paid a courtesy call on Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav.

During a meeting at the Vice President’s office in Lainchaur today, matters related to various aspects of bilateral relations between Nepal and the United States were discussed, the Office of the Vice President shared.
On the occasion, Vice President Yadav noted that since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties in 1947, the relationship between Nepal and the US has remained close, friendly, and cooperative, grounded on mutual respect, understanding, development cooperation, and strong people-to-people ties.
He also shared the high importance of the country to its relationship with the US, respecting shared values of democracy, human rights, and freedom. He expressed gratitude for the US assistance over the decades to support Nepal’s efforts for socio-economic development.
Vice President Yadav expressed his belief that the celebration of the upcoming 80th anniversary of Nepal-US diplomatic relations will serve as an important milestone reflecting the long-term friendship and partnership between the two countries. He also expressed his confidence that the US will continue its support and cooperation in Nepal’s development in the days to come.
Vice President Yadav extended his congratulations and best wishes to the US government and people on the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence.
On the occasion, Charge d’ Affaires Arbom highlighted that the relationship between Nepal and the US is long-standing, historic, and multi-dimensional, and expressed America’s intent in taking it to an even higher level.
He reaffirmed America’s commitment to continuous support for Nepal and expressed satisfaction that American projects operating in Nepal are progressing smoothly and effectively.
