RSP Elects New District Leadership in Gorkha and Khotang

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has elected new district leadership in Gorkha and Khotang during its ongoing district conventions.

In Gorkha, Suwarna Rokaha Chhetri has been elected as the district president through a voting process at the party’s first district convention, which concluded on Sunday, according to party sources. Suk Bahadur Tamang has been elected vice-president, while Milan Thapa and Yogendra Jung Basnet were chosen as secretary and joint secretary, respectively.

In Khotang, Mukund Krishna Thapa has been re-elected as district president for a second term. He had initially assumed the role following the party’s district gathering held on December 28, 2024.

Other office-bearers in Khotang include Gobinda Bhujel as vice-president and Tara Dahal as treasurer, both elected unopposed. Similarly, Parshuram Thapa and Rajan Adhikari have been elected as secretary and joint secretary, respectively.

The district committee also includes members Prakash Adhikari, Keshar Bahadur Shrestha, and Chandra Bahadur Pariyar. The remaining three women members of the 11-member district working committee will be nominated later at the committee’s first meeting, according to the party.
