NC convenes meeting of opposition parties in Federal Parliament
Kathmandu: Leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party, Vishmaraj Angdembey, has called a meeting of opposition parties at the Congress parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar at 12:00 noon today.
Leader Angdembey’s Secretariat has said that the situation arising after Prime Minister Balendra Shah made the statement ‘Nepal has also encroached on India’s land’ in the House of Representatives on Sunday will be discussed at the meeting.
Leader Angdembey has called the leaders of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML), the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), the Shram Sanskriti Party and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) to the meeting.
The meeting of the House of Representatives is scheduled to convene at 1:00pm and that of the National Assembly at 1:15pm today. The main opposition party has called all opposition parties for a meeting before the meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament.
