Budget presentation begins at federal parliament

Kathmandu: Presentation of the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2083-84 BS ( 2026-27) commenced in the joint meeting of the federal parliament- House of Representatives (HoR) and the National Assembly.

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is presenting estimates of the government income and expenditure before the joint meeting of the federal parliament.

Before this, a Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers endorsed the budget speech. The budget for the current fiscal year is around Rs 1964.11 billion.
