Parliament’s Both Houses Convening Today, Economic Survey to Be Tabled
Kathmandu, May 27: Meetings of both houses of the Federal Parliament are taking place today, with the House of Representatives scheduled to convene at 11:00 am and the National Assembly at 1:15 pm.
According to the tentative agenda published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the House of Representatives will table the ‘Intangible Cultural Property (Protection) Bill, 2081 BS’, which was received from the National Assembly along with its message.
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle is also scheduled to present the Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2082/83 BS in the Lower House.
Similarly, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Bikram Timilsina will present a proposal seeking consideration of the ‘Film Bill, 2082 BS’, which originated in the National Assembly.
In the National Assembly, Finance Minister Dr Wagle is set to table the Economic Survey for the upcoming fiscal year.
The Upper House will also deliberate on the ‘Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill, 2082 BS’, which was received from the House of Representatives along with its message, according to the Parliament Secretariat.
