Show Cause Order issued against investigation commission

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court has issued a show cause order in response to a writ petition filed against the Assets Investigation Commission.

A single bench of Justice Bal Krishna Dhakal issued the show cause order today and invited both sides for a discussion on May 20.

Advocate Dr Premraj Silwal had filed the writ petition, arguing that the commission was unconstitutional and without jurisdiction.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers was named as the defendant in the petition.
