16 Injured as Bus Overturns in Nawalparasi

Nawalparasi, May 9: Sixteen passengers were injured when a bus overturned along the East-West Highway in Bardaghat Municipality-4 of Nawalparasi district on Friday evening.

According to police, the accident took place around 7 pm when the bus (Na 7 Kha 5820), en route from Pokhara to Mahendranagar, lost control and turned upside down on the road.

The injured were immediately taken to Chisapani Hospital, Bardaghat, for treatment. Hospital officials said most of the victims suffered injuries to their limbs and head, while some are in moderate condition.

Authorities said the injured include passengers from different districts, including Kaski, Nawalparasi, Kailali and Tanahun, as well as a foreign national.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
