Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Portugal visiting Nepal

Kathmandu: Deputy Foreign Minister (Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Portugal) Dr Ana Isabel Xavier will be on an official visit to Nepal from 29 April to 1 May 2026.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), at the invitation of Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, Deputy Foreign Minister Dr Xavier will be coming to Nepal.

During her visit, she will hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Secretary Mr Rai and pay a courtesy call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Mr Shisir Khanal on 30 April 2026.

During these meetings, the two sides will review the status of bilateral relations, as well as explore new avenues of cooperation in areas of mutual interest of the two countries.

Dr Ana Isabel Xavier will be accompanied by Non-resident Ambassador of Portugal to Nepal, H.E. Mr João Ribeiro de Almeida, and other officials.
