The Consulate held the camp for two days, April 27-28. Various sorts of services, like renewal of visa, power of attorney, and distribution of non-resident Nepalis (NRN) cards, were provided in the facility, according to Dhana Joshi, Deputy Consul General.

The facility was managed to provide consular services to Nepalis living in nine states of the USA. The Office of Consulate General was established in Dallas, Texas, last year.

It is the first such service provided after the establishment of the Consulate Office. The service delivery was planned for the convenience of the Nepalis living in the USA.

The Nepalis living in the Austin area of Texas, a large state in the US, had been demanding a consular camp. The Greater Austin Nepali Society extended cooperation to conduct the camp.
