Cloudy Weather Continues, Rain and Thunder Expected in Several Regions

Kathmandu, April 9: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that cloudy weather persists across Nepal today due to a westerly low-pressure system and local winds.

Light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in parts of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, the hilly areas of Koshi province, and selected locations in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions, including Koshi province, are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy conditions. Moderate rainfall with occasional thunder and lightning may occur in some hilly areas, including Koshi province, as well as in parts of Madhesh province.

Tonight, hilly regions, particularly in Koshi province, will remain generally cloudy, while other hilly areas will be partly cloudy. The Tarai region is expected to experience mainly clear weather. Light rain or snowfall, along with thunder and lightning, is possible in certain hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
