Rain and Thunder Likely in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Today
Kathmandu, March 30: Nepal is experiencing the combined influence of westerly winds and local air currents, bringing generally cloudy conditions to the hilly and mountainous regions.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rain with occasional thunder is currently observed in some hilly areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, including rainfall in the Kathmandu Valley.
This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain mostly cloudy, while the Tarai will see partly cloudy skies. Moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning are possible at several places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Light rain may also occur at one or two places in Madhes Province, including the Tarai of Koshi, and in the hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Residents are advised to stay cautious in areas experiencing rain and thunderstorms.
