Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Jeep in Gulmi

Gulmi, March 29: A 55-year-old pedestrian, Tulsi Thapa, has died after being struck by a jeep in Chandrakot Rural Municipality.

According to Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer at the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police, the incident occurred Saturday evening at Ripaha when the jeep (Lu. 1 Ja. 1834), travelling from Chandrakot to Shantipur, hit Thapa while he was crossing the road.

Thapa was initially treated at a local health facility and later sent to Lumbini Medical College in Pravas, Palpa, where he succumbed to his injuries last night. Police have taken the jeep driver, Jeevan Faudar, into custody for further action.
