NCP Urges Govt to Maintain Impartiality in Handling Gen Z Probe

Kathmandu, March 28: The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has congratulated the newly formed government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah and wished it a successful tenure.

In a statement issued on Saturday, NCP central office chief secretary Ganeshman Pun extended best wishes to the Shah-led administration, which secured a majority in the House of Representatives elections held on March 5.

The party also called on the government to uphold impartiality, due legal process and the rule of law while implementing the recommendations of the Gauri Bahadur Karki-led commission formed to investigate issues related to the Gen Z protests.

The NCP stressed that any action taken in connection with the probe should adhere to legal procedures and the principle of neutrality. It warned that decisions driven by political bias could create tensions and lead to instability in the country.
