First House of Representatives session held

Kathmandu: The first meeting of the House of Representatives has been held today following the March 5 election. The session took place at the multipurpose hall of the under-construction Federal Parliament Building at Singha Durbar.

The meeting was chaired by senior-most member Arjun Narasingh KC.

Prime Minister Balendra Shah, members of the Council of Ministers, and leaders from major political parties attended the session.

President Ramchandra Paudel had earlier summoned the session for today.

During the meeting, procedures for running the House were discussed, and top leaders of the parties expressed their views.
