Minister Chaulagain inspects progress of Bheri Corridor project
Surkhet, March 25: Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Madhav Prasad Chaulagain has carried out a field inspection of the Bheri Corridor road project.
The minister began monitoring the road section from Pasagad in Bheri Municipality-4 of Jajarkot to Dunai, the headquarters of Dolpa. During the visit, he observed that five motorable bridges along the corridor remain incomplete.
However, construction of the roadway is nearing completion, with blacktopping underway along a 56-kilometre stretch.
The minister also reviewed progress on a new contract process for road construction and blacktopping from Athbiskot-5 in Rukum Paschim to Tripurasundari Municipality-1 in Dolpa.
According to Chief District Officer Junu Hamal, the minister held discussions with representatives from Tripurasundari Municipality and the District Administration Office, Dolpa, regarding ongoing and upcoming works.
The meeting also discussed the decision to award a contract for the construction of the Lyashikyap–Sishaul section under the Bheri Corridor in upper Dolpa.
