Kathmandu election update
Kathmandu: Vote counting for the House of Representatives in Kathmandu constituencies is ongoing. In Kathmandu-2, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Sunil KC is leading with 4,115 votes, while Nepali Congress candidate Kabir Sharma trails with 1,679 votes.
In Kathmandu-3, Raju Nath Pandey of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is ahead with 6,584 votes, followed by Kulman Ghising of the Ujjaya Nepal Party with 4,220 votes.
Kathmandu-4 shows Pukar Bam of the Rastriya Swatantra Party leading with 6,284 votes, with Nepali Congress’ Sachin Timalsena and CPN-UML’s Dr. Rajan Bhattarai trailing.
In Kathmandu-5, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Sasmit Pokharel is leading with 9,917 votes, while Pradeep Poudel of Nepali Congress has 3,190 votes.
In Kathmandu-7, Ganesh Parajuli of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is ahead with 7,642 votes.
In Kathmandu-8, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Biraj Bhakta Shrestha leads with 13,150 votes.
Kathmandu-9 shows Dol Prasad Aryal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party leading with 5,559 votes, while Nepali Congress’ Nanu Maiya Bastola is in second place.
In Kathmandu-10, Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Pradeep Bista is leading with 8,508 votes, followed by Nepali Congress’ Himal Karki.
Counting is still underway in all constituencies, and results may change as more votes are tallied.
